A well-cared-for candle burns evenly, lasts longer, and releases its essential oils more effectively. Follow these tips to get the most from your Natural Wax Candle #1.

Trim the wick before every burn

Trim to approximately 5mm before lighting. This prevents smoking, mushrooming, and ensures a clean, even flame that maximises scent throw.

Allow a full melt pool on first burn

On the first use, burn until the entire surface has melted to the edges of the jar. Soy wax has a “memory” — if you extinguish too early, the candle will tunnel on future burns.

Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time

Extended burns can cause the wick to shift and the wax to overheat. Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.

Keep away from drafts

Drafts cause uneven burning, dripping, and reduce scent throw. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from open windows and vents.

The 220g Natural Wax Candle #1 has an approximate burn time of 40–50 hours when cared for properly. Always trim the wick to 5mm before each burn and allow the wax to melt to the edges on the first use to prevent tunnelling and maximise burn time.

Can I recycle the jar? +

Yes. Once the candle has finished, clean the jar by pouring hot water inside to melt residual wax, then wipe clean. The glass jar can be repurposed as a small planter, storage container, or makeup brush holder — or recycled with your glass collection.

Does it contain any synthetic fragrances? +
